EURO 2020 Group C analysis

The analysis of EURO 2020 Group C, with Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria, and North Macedonia all looking to take their place to the next round.

Ukraine


Ukraine will be looking to book their place in the next round with a young and exciting talent like Oleksandr Zinchenko.
This is the first major tournament for their manager AC Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko and he will want to impress.

Netherlands the 1988 winner come into the competition with their star player, Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk. This is their first major tournament after missing out on the last FIFA world cup and EUROs. They found their self in a favorable group and baring any upset they should qualify to the next round easily.

They qualified for the tournament through the back door after placing third in group G of the qualify stage behind Poland and Austria, qualifying through the nations league playoffs against Georgia. They may be seen as the group underdog but are ready to punish any complacency, like they did to Germany consigning them to their first world cup qualifying group stage defeat in 20 years.
