Pi network is a cryptocurrency platform and a blockchain developer platform. It has a mobile app on the leading mobile phone operating systems like iOS, and Android. The mobile apps allow users to mine Pi coins. The apps are lightweight which reduces the impact on the user’s battery and network usage.
Pi network has over 30 million engaged users worldwide, that milestone was achieved in December 2021.
As of June 28, 2022, it started migrating its users from testnet to the blockchain mainnet.
Pi was developed by two Stanford PhDs, Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, and Dr. Chengdiao Fan.
