Bouncer stabs teenage boy to death for allegedly trying to pick money sprayed at a wedding in Delta

A bouncer, identified as Francis Utuedor, has been arrested for killing a teenage boy, Oghenemaro Eriana, at a wedding reception in Delta state.

It was gathered that the incident occurred during a wedding reception at Wetland Hotel in Mofor, Udu Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, September 25.

The secondary school student was reportedly trying to pick up naira notes being sprayed on the couple when the overzealous bouncer grabbed him and stabbed him to death.

Reports have it that Oghenemaro went to the wedding party with his mother, who lost an older son two months before this unfortunate incident. The deceased and his mum were said to be at the wedding because the groom is their neighbour.

Spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident said the suspect has been arrested.

“It happened at Wetland Hotel. The suspect is in our custody.” Edafe said.
